Honeywell, spol. s r.o. – HTS CZ o.z.

Honeywell, spol. s r.o. is commercially implementing results of research and development using internal process of NPI (New Product Introduction). During this process the research and development base is cooperating with other entities within one Honeywell company. It also stimulates further growth of research, development and inovative potential in Czech Republic. Employees of Honeywell, spol. s r.o. are involved in pilot project of realization right after completion of research phase. Center of Excellence of Honeywell, spol. s r.o. for energy application for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region was established. Design center in Brno is involved in engineering and industrialization.

Brno Design center – HTS Brno – was established in 2003. Currently the population is more than 1000 engineers and they participate on the development of more than 300 products, where more than half is being implemented into production and introduced to the market. Design group is closely cooperating with production site in Brno. Many products designed in Brno is also manufactured in Brno. As an example of these products are communicating thermostats (approx. 50 thousands pieces per year), controlling units for gas combustion appliances (approx. 400 thousands pieces per year) or displays for control units (approx. 70 thousands pieces per year).

ProfileEngineering Director in HTS (Honeywell Technology Solution) Brno since 2006, leading research and development efforts in areas of HW, SW and Mechanical Design with primary focus on applications for homes, buildings systems, water, gas and combustion processes and large security systems. He has previous experience from semiconductor industry (AVX Czech Republic s.r.o.) in different roles and responsibilities related to R&D and production. He received MSc in 1989 from Czech Technical University, Institute of Electrical Engineering, in the field of Control Engineering. Leos Dvorak has three patent granted. He is author or co-author of more than 10 technical publications and engineering works. He has experience from various global assignments in El Salvador, China, US and Europe in area of ISC, Engineering and R&D. He is a member of the scientific board of FEEC BUT and member of the industrial board of FIT BUT.
