LPKF ProtoLaser S is a unique instrument for high-power laser direct structuring of printed circuit boards. It couples accuracy and speed of production, without the need for litographic masks or use of any chemicals; the only required input are data in Gerber RS-274-X format. The laser is capable of forming circuits with line width from 50 um, which is two times better than the highest (8th) precision class according to IPC-A600D. The instrument supports all common (epoxy resin) and high-frequency (teflon, ceramic) circuit board materials. It can also be employed for other applications such as selective ablation of metal or plastic layers etc.
