Signal Quality Analyzer MP1800A is a top class bit error rate tester for baseband data signals in the range between 150 Mb/s and 12 Gb/s. Apart from standard tasks, the instrument can measure jitter of the received signal and test robustness of a connected device to jitter according to standard masks. For testing purposes, random as well as deterministic jitter can be added in the signal under test and even inter-symbol interference can be modeled. The device can display the eye diagram and the spectrum of jitter (jitter decomposition).
